Terms and Conditions
By using this website or placing an order with Decency's Crochet Design, you agree to the terms set out on this page. Please read them carefully before purchasing. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Business identity
These terms are issued by Decency's Crochet Design, a Nigerian fashion brand operating exclusively online. We have no physical storefront or showroom. All orders, communications, and transactions take place through this website, WhatsApp, and email.
You can reach us at dcdnigeria@gmail.com or via WhatsApp before placing an order if you have any questions about our products, pricing, or process.
Using this website
This website is for personal, non-commercial use. By accessing it, you agree not to misuse, copy, or redistribute any content — including images, product descriptions, and brand materials — without written permission from Decency's Crochet Design.
We reserve the right to update the content or structure of this website at any time without notice.
Products and availability
All products sold by Decency's Crochet Design are handmade and subject to availability. Listing a product on the website does not guarantee it is in stock or available for immediate dispatch. We make every reasonable effort to ensure product descriptions and images accurately represent our goods.
As our pieces are handmade, minor natural variations in texture, colour, and construction between pieces are inherent to the craft and do not constitute a defect or misdescription. Significant differences from what was described or shown would qualify for a remedy under our Returns & Exchange Policy.
We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue a product, or update product details at any time without prior notice.
Pricing
Prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise stated. Prices may change without notice. Any applicable delivery fees are not included in listed prices and are confirmed separately before dispatch — you will not be charged for delivery without prior notification and your agreement.
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate pricing. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order. You are not obligated to proceed with an order placed at an incorrect price, and we are not obligated to honour a price that was clearly erroneous.
Placing an order — how a contract is formed
By placing an order on this website, you are making an offer to purchase a product at the listed price. Under the Electronic Transactions Act 2023, a legally binding contract between you and Decency's Crochet Design is only formed when we send you written order confirmation — typically via WhatsApp or email. Automated acknowledgements of receipt do not constitute acceptance.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to: product unavailability, payment issues, a pricing error, or inability to reach you to confirm delivery details. If we cancel an order after payment, a full refund will be issued promptly.
Bespoke and custom pieces
Bespoke commissions are custom-made based on the specifications you provide. Before production begins, we will confirm your brief, measurements, and timeline in writing via WhatsApp or email. This written confirmation forms part of the contract for your commission.
A deposit is required before production starts. The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of your order and is non-refundable once production has been confirmed, as the piece is being made specifically to your specifications. The balance is due before dispatch.
If you provide inaccurate measurements or specifications, and the completed piece conforms to what was agreed in writing, this does not entitle you to a return or exchange. We strongly encourage you to double-check all measurements before confirming your brief.
These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights in the event of a manufacturing defect or a material failure to match the agreed specifications on our part.
Payment
We accept payment through Paystack. For ready-made pieces, full payment is required before dispatch. For bespoke orders, a deposit is required before production begins, with the balance due before dispatch.
All payment details are handled securely by Paystack under their own privacy policy and security standards. We do not store or access your card information. Please see our Privacy Policy for more detail on how payment data is handled.
Delivery
Delivery fees are not fixed and are determined based on your location. We will confirm the delivery fee with you before dispatching your order. You will not be charged for delivery without prior notification and agreement.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the item is handed to the courier for dispatch. We are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss caused by third-party couriers, customs processes, or incorrect delivery information provided by you. Please see our Delivery Policy for full details.
Your consumer rights — FCCPA 2018
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 (FCCPA). In particular:
- You have the right to receive goods of merchantable quality and fit for the purpose for which they are ordinarily used.
- If goods are defective, unsafe, or materially different from how they were described, you have the right to a remedy — which may include repair, replacement, or a refund, depending on the circumstances.
- Any clause in these terms that purports to waive or exclude these statutory rights is void to the extent that it conflicts with the FCCPA.
These terms do not restrict your right to return defective goods or goods that do not match their description. Please see our Returns & Exchange Policy for the process.
Product images and natural variation
We make every effort to represent our products accurately through photography. However, colours and textures may appear slightly different on screen compared to the physical product, depending on your display settings. Minor natural variation between handmade pieces is a characteristic of craft — not a defect.
If you believe a product has a genuine manufacturing defect or is materially different from its description, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We will review your concern and respond within 2 business days.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including images, copy, product designs, and brand identity — is the property of Decency's Crochet Design and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Nigerian law, Decency's Crochet Design is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our products, including but not limited to loss of income, damage to property, or delays in delivery caused by third parties or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific order is limited to the value of that order. This limitation does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
